I Swore I'd Never..

When I was pregnant with Noah, one of the things David and I would always talk about and discuss was where we'd allow Noah to play. Might sound lame or too over protective, but something about all those play areas at the mall that smell like feet, or playgrounds full of gross slimy stuff you can't describe on the slides and than the Germ Haven of all places.... ChuckE Cheese....

One Word.... NEVER.

Well, that didn't last too long. I began taking Noah to parks to swing at 6 months, found out how amazing those play areas at the mall truly are because : 1. He makes friends 2. he gets all his energy out which than makes shopping or running errands easier after he's done playing and 3.it makes him happy!
So yesterday, we were invited by our sweet friends Suzie and Jessie to come join them for lunch at Chuck E Cheese. They were treating their daughter to a fun day out since her baby brother would be born any day ( he was actually born that night! Last night!) So we agreed to go, figured it would be nice to hang out but I'll admit both David and I were a little hesitant. Sure enough the place was packed with rowdy kids running around, it smelled like cheese and feet and I'm sure many babies have expelled things I don't want to think of, but you know what? Noah had the time of his life!
My little man was screaming his head off with a huge smile on his face! He went on every little ride he could climb on, and loved it!

I've seen Noah happy, but this was a different type of happy! He was ecstatic! There's no better feeling in the world than to see your child so happy!
We're learning as we go, and really enjoying being parents. I guess germs and goopy stuff I can't name all come with the package! Luckily he's a healthy kid that loves to wash his hands, and that's good enough for me!
