Oh man , I'm full term! Hooray! We did it! I'm so thankful that we made it this far and we're healthy! Today my weekly update will focus on what went on today and is going on as I type this.
So today we drove to my mom's house to go out for lunch. She treated us to lunch to celebrate David passing the academy. It was sweet! Well on the way to my moms house I noticed I was crampy for a while and getting Braxton hicks ( tightening of the belly/ false contractions) so I just kept on going on and let David know but I wasn't timing them yet. When we got to my moms house I had a bit more discomfort but nothing new.. So we went to Mimi's Cafe for lunch and since we got there the " Braxton hicks" only got worst . I could hardly eat my salad I was so uncomfortable and in pain... David kept urging me to go to the hospital and so did my mom but honestly, after being there twice and having false alarms I didn't want to look like a fool...
So after we finished eating I got to the point where I was like ok OW THIS HURTS. And I had been timing them by then and they were 2-4 min apart! So we went ahead and went to the hospital. They got the monitor hooked up and all and sure enough I was getting the real contractions! Let me tell you, they do hurt. They hurt quite a bit and the discomfort on my lower back to go with it didnt help. They checked me and I was still at 1 cm dilated ... So they waited another hour to check me again and by then the contractions were worse and closer but again still 1cm so I got sent home!!! :( now we are at my moms, got the fire place going and I'm practically in tears waiting this out ... They did say it was early labor so that's a good sign. Lets just hope I don't have to endure the pain for too long . Prayers for Noah and I would be greatly appreciated! David and I went for a walk and now we are going to go home and I'm going to take a hot bath hoping to get things going here!
Last night I read Psalm 5:3 and came to terms that this will happen in Gods timing an i will be okay because he has heard my prayer.
Wish our little family luck! :-)
how exciting!! Prayers to your family :)
