I know I keep repeating myself, I haven't blogged in a while but I promise it's all for good reason. Our days fill up with different activities and things to do so fast lately it's been hard to keep up. Also, my morning sickness/nausea has NOT gone away! I'm 18 weeks today and still feeling so sick a lot of the day. Some days are better than others but most days, finding something to eat that won't make me queasy or feel disgusted is such a task! I go back and forth between "showing" and not showing, I guess it's only when I manage to have a full belly that I show. This baby is different of sure. Speaking of babies, Levi, my one year old does not let me get much done! He cries like 95% of the day if I don't hold him or lay down with him. He's so attached its crazy.
Besides those lame excuses for not blogging here's what we've been up to:
- 5 love languages class for David and I (we love it!) every Tuesday night.
- Marriage seminar (Laugh your way to a better marriage )
- Fright Fest
- Birthday Parties
- Photography
- Dr. appointments
- Sick with the flu
- Pumpkin patch
- and time with family visiting or us going over.
The weekend of October the 7th through the 9th, we signed up to attend a comedic marriage seminar at our church called Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage by Mark Gungor. Look him up , he's written a few books and even has a podcast you could listen to. The man is hilarious! It wasn't super "churchy" , he was just funny !
We were really blessed to attend this, our pastor's wife approached us and asked if we would be interested in volunteering for the event, we said yes and she comped us our $80.00 for our tickets and childcare! I've mentioned plenty of times that money is always tight, we either have very very little of it or none at all. So this was a very special treat we decided to purchase and put our trust in God and he returned that money he knew we would need. Thank you God! I love it when we get to see him spoiling us!
We learned so much about one another. Men and Women are just built so differently, women communicate and talk and express and want men to act the same and understand them completely when in reality men are so different. They don't function exactly like we do and that is OKAY. It's all about communicating and learning to understand one another with love and patience even when you do not feel like it.
On Saturday, the seminar ended at noon. We came home to relax for a quick minute and than my mom and aunt came over to watch the boys for us. I won tickets on the radio to Fright Fest at Six Flags Magic Mountain! We invited our friends Suzie and Jessie to go with us!
We had such a blast! We didn't go on any rides, mainly because I'm pregnant but we still had fun! It was scary! And Jessie almost killed me trying to scare me too! hahaha It was fun! Surprisingly this was our first outing with them without kids ! 4 years of friendship and we hadn't done this! That's crazy!
We didn't stay super late, I think we left a little after nine but it was still a good time. We ate hot dogs and watched the concert they had going and walked around all over.
On Sunday we went to church. We were so tired but it was good. There's been a lot going on with family, David's brother stayed with us for a couple of those nights. It was nice having him here to talk to. Sunday after church, I met up with my mom and my aunt and had lunch and than went over to my mom's place for a bit while David spent time with his mom.
It was a fun busy weekend!
