Weekend UpDate ( Oct. 7-9th)

I know I keep repeating  myself, I haven't blogged in a while but I promise it's all for good reason. Our days fill up with different activities and things to do so fast lately it's been hard to keep up. Also, my morning sickness/nausea has NOT gone away! I'm 18 weeks today and still feeling so sick a lot of the day. Some days are better than others but most days, finding something to eat that won't make me queasy or feel disgusted is such a task! I go back and forth between "showing" and not showing, I guess it's only when I manage to have a full belly that I show. This baby is different of sure. Speaking of babies, Levi, my one year old does not let me get much done! He cries like 95% of the day if I don't hold him or lay down with him. He's so attached its crazy.

Besides those lame excuses for not blogging here's what we've been up to:

  • 5 love languages class for David and I (we love it!) every Tuesday night.
  • Marriage seminar (Laugh your way to a better marriage )
  • Fright Fest
  • Birthday Parties
  • Photography
  • Dr. appointments
  • Sick with the flu
  • Pumpkin patch
  • and time with family visiting or us going over.

The weekend of October the 7th through the 9th, we signed up to attend a comedic marriage seminar at our church called Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage by Mark Gungor. Look him up , he's written a few books and even has a podcast you could listen to. The man is hilarious! It wasn't super "churchy" , he was just funny !

We were really blessed to attend this, our pastor's wife approached us and asked if we would be interested in volunteering for the event, we said yes and she comped us our $80.00 for our tickets and childcare! I've mentioned plenty of times that money is always tight, we either have very very little of it or none at all. So this was a very special treat we decided to purchase and put our trust in God and he returned that money he knew we would need. Thank you God! I love it when we get to see him spoiling us!

We learned so much about one another. Men and Women are just built so differently, women communicate and talk and express and want men to act the same and understand them completely when in reality men are so different. They don't function exactly like we do and that is OKAY. It's all about communicating and learning to understand one another with love and patience even when you do not feel like it.

On Saturday, the seminar ended at noon. We came home to relax for a quick minute and than my mom and aunt came over to watch the boys for us. I won tickets on the radio to Fright Fest at Six Flags Magic Mountain! We invited our friends Suzie and Jessie to go with us!

We had such a blast! We didn't go on any rides, mainly because I'm pregnant but we still had fun! It was scary! And Jessie almost killed me trying to scare me too! hahaha It was fun! Surprisingly this was our first outing with them without kids ! 4 years of friendship and we hadn't done this! That's crazy!

We didn't stay super late, I think we left a little after nine but it was still a good time. We ate hot dogs and watched the concert they had going and walked around all over.

On Sunday we went to church. We were so tired but it was good. There's been a lot going on with family, David's brother stayed with us for a couple of those nights. It was nice having him here to talk to. Sunday after church, I met up with my mom and my aunt and had lunch and than went over to my mom's place for a bit while David spent time with his mom.
It was a fun busy weekend!

New Years Eve

New Years Eve was a busy fun filled day for our little family! This was the first year I believe, as a married couple that we did anything for the night. The first two years of marriage, David worked 24 hour shifts as an EMT and he was always at work for New Years and I'd just be home alone trying to sleep away the sadness of ringing in the year alone.. wah wah hahaha

Than with babies, we haven't gotten around to ever planning anything fun. So this year we planned with our good friends who have kids the same age as ours and we went over to their place to ring in the new year.

Earlier that day I scheduled an appointment for a haircut at the beauty school in our county. My Friend Marilyn had actually suggested I go there for a good cheap haircut! It took a couple hours but I really appreciated it because the hair dresser was super careful and asking the teachers for help when she needed it. It came out great! For $6 , it was more than a good haircut!

Afterwards, I had a Ross gift card, and I went to grab something to wear for the night.

Surprisingly, my jean size has gone down a lot , but I am still very top heavy, thanks to breast feeding =/.  I went with the last choice. Most comfy and me.
So I wore that plaid shirt dress, stockings and boots.
This is my friend Marilyn. She's a lot of fun, super nice and like me she's Mexican and Central American.
We had a blast! We rang in the new year twice, once with New York and again our time. We ate a yummy pasta, played Heads Up and drank wine and Champagne to cheer!
The boys weren't full after dinner, so we actually ordered in a pizza on top of this! #tistheseason right?!

Horrible family pic but it'll do. Levi was asleep.
She was being so fun and silly! Love our friends. So sad they'll be moving soon.

It was a blast!  They are such great hosts, always feeding us amazing meals! Thank you for having us over!

The Week Before Christmas!

Week before Christmas was all about having the Christmas Spirit and doing fun family things! We did plenty of driving around to look at fun Christmas lights on houses, hung out with friends and family , drank hot cocoa and baked my booty off. (or on I guess you could say lol)

Snapchatting our fun while in Moorpark. People went all out decorating their houses here! So fun!

Our Friends and their babies came over to spread the Christmas Cheer!

Who taught Levi how to open presents???

Went a little nutz baking a fun little treat box for David and mine's friends and also for having our sister and her boyfriend over the following night for pizza , treats and a movie!

Babies! How is it that we always have babies around the same time? I love it! ;)
During the day, before we had our sister come over, I went and visited with my girlfriend and the boys had so much fun!

Our sis, her sweet boyfriend, Mason and our boys.
Early the next morning (Saturday) I signed up to help at our church with the Christmas shoppe. They ended up not having as much help as they needed so I drove back home (2 min away from church ) and asked David to come help. Without a doubt he said ok so we quickly gave Noah a bath, got the kids ready and left them upstairs in the church where they were watching the guest's kids. They were so happy to watch our boys! Everyone said Levi was so good and slept and was so happy and so was Noah!
Doing this felt amazing , and also felt good to not have to worry about the boys. David and I were both doing our own thing but when we'd finish , we'd talk and catch up and it was amazing being able to talk without being interrupted. We kept saying this was like a date in disguise! We left feeling so good, it truly was rewarding.

 The following morning at church!

Levi fell asleep on my hand.

Onto Christmas!

August Shennanigans (Photodump)

Oh my! Summer is almost over! Whyyyy?!

Blogging and vlogging has come to a short pause due to fun summer colds and mastitis ! ugh not again! I got it about two years ago, read about how I cured it naturally Here, but this time, I felt worst and I couldn't even hold my baby, I was in so much pain. So I went to the doctor, got antibiotics and it took care of it within a day! Thank God! The next day I took in baby Levi for a cough he's had for a week, and they told me not to worry that it wasn't in his lungs or anything so I'm glad it's pretty much gone now and he's himself.

I feel like August has been our most Fun filled month of this summer by far! These past few weekends have been a blast!

The first weekend of August we went to Santa Barbara to enjoy Fiestas! I love being there for the festivities! Brings back so many memories of when I used to be a part of it and dance in all the parades and shows!

I'm aware of how lame I look.Don't know how to selfie anymore! But look at my braid!

Yes David held a snake!

Yes my two year old did too! So brave!

SB view from up top!

After SB we stopped at our favorite beach to beat the heat. Fun Fact: there are always swimsuits and towels in our car for such occasions. Beach bums.
oh me and my sissy!

A couple of weeks ago we went to Lancaster to visit David's family. We got to see the grandmas and they got to meet Levi! It was such a good family visit! It was also 106 degrees that weekend so we went over to David's uncle's house to cool off in their pool and I may or may not have enjoyed a margarita! ;) Delish! We also stayed the night at his cousin's house and oh my gosh that was fun! Sarah and I (david's cousin's wife) had our first born a couple of months apart and our second two weeks apart! So it's always fun seeing our babies play together when we visit! They have such a beautiful house with a gorgeous pool too!  I've said it before but seriously, they are the sweetest most humble family ever! HASHTAG : GOALS.

Cosby!

This past weekend, we were invited by David's ex work friends to join them and their families to go to Universal Studios! They didn't let us decline so we HAD to go. ;) We love this group of friends! The second time we all hung out, we were at our little apartment with all 8 of them and stayed up until 2 am just having fun and talking and joking around so we knew Universal would be fun! I'd say it was a good time (for having a two and a half year old and 2 month old) but it was very very hot and the waits for getting on any ride were very long. Two things that don't sit well with babies. So obviously we didn't get on a many rides and we did have to stop a few times to manage the babies but it was a lot of fun!

My Favorite Actress! Lucy!
Pretty sure they planned to match! haha

our handsome men!

"get me off of here mom! You're embarrassing me!" lol

He loved this ride!
oh and dinner pic because it was amazing!
Levi's first amusement park experience!
This month is flying by and I'm glad we've made the most of it ! Also, David and I celebrated 4 years of marriage this month but more on that in the next post!
