Pumpkin Patching it

Guess what we did on Saturday??? We went to the pumpkin patch! Usually we go to the same one in Santa Paula, it's a big deal, a huge ranch, music and food but this year since we don't live near there anymore we went to Lombardi's Pumpkin Patch. That place was just as fun, huge and there was a couple corn fields and a petting zoo! Best part about it was that it was free to get in! I mainly wanted to go to get our family fall photos taken care of but we enjoyed being there.
For our pictures I had us matching colors but different patterns. Here's what we wore:

I took my Nikon and a tripod and our prop for Noah's pictures was his red ATW wagon. I got 3 leave garlands from the Dollar Tree and decorated the wagon with them and also propped up some pumpkins next to it.

 For our family photo, I set the camera on self timer and I kept having to run back and forth to be in the shot, I only got 3 of all 3 of us and some nice lady that saw me running back and forth offered to take our picture with my iphone, and that's actually my favorite one of the three of us. =)

This was the first attempt, but I like that David and I are smiling.

David played photographer for a bit. He does really good!
 

The pumpkin patch was big and crowded with people. There were a lot of props you could take pictures with like this:

They even had a train that circled the farm, we didn't go on it but we'll prob go back just to have that experience!

At the petting zoo, there was a llama, or alpaca? I really don't know the difference, anyways, it kept circling in the cage and kept coming back towards Noah! It made me nervous because I kept thinking it would spit on us but it didn't.

My ugly excited face! hahaha Being a parent = second chance at childhood! ;)

We walked around some more, and picked our pumpkins out, stood in line and then realized they only accepted cash... c'mon its 2013! Oh well, its an excuse to go back very soon! ;)

We had a great time there! Pumpkin Patching 2013 was a success!

 

 

Fall Swap

A couple weeks ago, I signed up to do a fall swap by a girl I follow on instagram. It seemed pretty fun, so I left my email and she set everyone up with a partner to do the swap! The limit was $15.00 or under and you had to mail it before Oct. 1st. My partner, Kristen, this super cool girl from Washington I got to know her a bit through emails and instagram pics. I decided to make her gift more like a Birch Box, so I bought a few makeup goodies since I had been out and about shopping for makeup the last couple weeks. I got a makeup bag from Ulta and added an eyeshadow quad with fall-ish colors, Ulta mascara that I love, a mini pink lip gloss and a gorgeous maroonish/red lipstick from Clinique. And I also put in little candles. I wish I would have decorated it more because when I recieved my package I was blown away!

Kristen had sent mine in a big box by the postal service and when I opened it, she had wrapped it all up in cute autumn colored wrapping paper! My gift was in a cute basket and filled with all these goodies! Kristen, girl you spoiled me rotten with this! And I know all this was not just $15.00, it was a lot more with all the lovely items I got and the wrapping and mailing costs! I really appreciated it!!! =D xoxo

Okay so here's the Fall Swap Goodies I got:

1.) Yum! M&Ms! And Yes they are delish! Smell like skittles and taste like white chocolates!

2.) Pumpkin Butter, Never ever tried this but I can't wait to!

3.) A Candle, I had been going to target and opening these up just to smell them! I was super excited when I saw this!

4.) Pumpkin Spice Coffee! She had almost asked if I liked coffee and then she noticed my email (Coffee addict) and was like oh duh of course she does! lol

5.) Cute decorative owl! I love this little guy! He's sitting on our window sill now.

6.) Covergirl Nail polish! I love this color! I've been wearing it since I got it!

7.) The perfect "ready to go" mini cross body purse! this is so perfect for when I need to run to the store and just put my phone and cards in and lip balm! I really like this purse!

8.) Teal Lace Scarf, you can see it on Noah's lap. He had to look at all my goodies too! ;)

I had fun doing my first swap, and I really enjoyed getting a present, who doesn't?! Now I have more of an idea of how to do it and I can't wait to join in on another one! I hear the next one is being hosted or set up by @Kcqsmama on instagram and sign ups close tomorrow on Sunday so hurry and sign up to join in on the fun! 

Hello Fall !

Happy Fall Everyone! 

Omgeee! Finally right?! Feels like it's been summer all year here in California! And I'm not loving it! It's way to hot and I just want to feel the sweet cool fall breeze! Well since Fall officially began yesterday, I decided to start a little bit of some DIY decorating at our place. I dressed up out little coffee table with cute little things I found at the Dollar Tree. Yep! Everything seen in the picture about is from the Dollar Tree! Not bad huh?

2 Clear Vases, 2 Pumpkin Spice candles, 2 fake pumpkins, Leave Garland, Dried Moss in the vases and  little Fall leaves with glitter cut outs.

Today, we ended up being too late for church, we accidentally slept in when David got home from work and woke up later than we usually do to go to church. We left the house a half hour late and by the time we did make it in town, we were too late to go. So we drove around town and got lunch and went to enjoy it at a park. We brought Cosby with us and boy was he happy to run around freely! He went nuts! He was running all over and chasing birds, than he'd get super tired and just plop himself on the grass! so cute!

After the park, We went to Big 5 Sporting Goods store and David got a knife.. ay, the things boys are into.. ;) and then to Blender's in the Grass and got a PB Smoothie. So tasty! David had never tried it before and he was in love! ha 

Making Noah Happy! 

That was pretty much our Sunday Funday, sad we missed out on church tho. =( Hope you're all enjoying you're weekend!
