A Letter For Noah

My Dear Noah,

Oh boy, where to begin...
Currently, you've been driving us crazy! Terrible two's is in full force at our house! It's been so hard this past month, Levi is five months and you're 3 Months shy of turning 3!
It feels like just yesterday I had you, it was just the three of us, you, papa and I going everywhere and anywhere with you. We would take you to the parks, restaurants, to visit family, EVERYWHERE! It was easy than, now that I look back. The transition from having just you to having you ( a toddler) and Levi (a new baby) hasn't been all that easy and I see you don't quite understand that I can't always be right there to give you what you need. I'm sorry. I know I lose my patience with you at times but I promise I still Love you. I know it seems like I'm always feeding Levi, today you told me multiple times to "stop feeding awhy!" hahaha ...  Because I am so busy with the baby, I've seen you grow 5x as fast these past five months! You've become so independent, so intelligent and I am so proud of you! I can have a conversation with you about almost anything now, and I love it. You've begun saying "I'm not a baby mommy, I a BIG BOY!" (as you suck on a bottle filled with apple juice)

Well let me tell you something son, I can see that you are a big boy, but one thing will never EVER change, You will ALWAYS be My Baby. I Love you so much I can't describe it! You made me a mommy, You gave  me this full time job that I don't ever want to quit, and for that I thank you. I love you so much Noah, and thank you for always putting a smile on my face, each and every single day! ;)

Brothers

I just love seeing the bond that is building each day with Noah and Levi. The way Levi looks and admires Noah. And the way they make one another laugh. I just love it.
These are our sons. We made these two with love and we couldn't be more pleased.

Levi 4 months

Noah 2 years and 9 months

These boys just crack me up! =)

Noah Turns 2, Birthday Day

What a happy Day! Thursday Noah turned two years old! January 8th 2013 at 6:47 pm he came into our lives and it's already been two years since that wonderful day! We couldn't be more proud of the little man he is becoming, all that he is learning and doing now. He's beginning to speak in full sentences, although I'm his translator most of the time but he is saying words more and more clearly. He knows his colors, he counts 123, he shares, he picks up things and throws them in the trash when asked, and he tells us when he poops. =)
My favorite things he does right now is saying Thank you on his own and saying I love you mama on his own and kissing me or daddy on his own. I love it!

So on Thursday, I decided to make tacos and had my mom and stepdad over and our good friends Suzie and Jessie and their kids over to play. It was a nice quiet little dinner here at our place and we enjoyed it. Although when it came time to sing Happy Birthday to Noah, he was well overdue for a nap and not in a good mood, so he cried and fell asleep.

The night was nice, we enjoyed cake, coffee and pan dulce while the little prince napped and when he woke he was a whole new person. He played with his new toys and balloons.

A Letter to my Son

Dear Son,
Happy second birthday! For two whole years now you've made our lives complete, happy and fulfilled . You've brought so much joy into our daily lives, you make us laugh, smile and you've given us our childhood back in a good way. You've taught us to be patient and live every second to the fullest. You throw a tantrum now here and there and I'm sorry I sometimes laugh at you but you have such a cute little cry face that it's hard to take you too seriously. I love you so much and thank you for being our little everything! Happy Birthday!

Filling Easter Eggs For Toddlers

I wasn't too sure about what do for Noah this Easter when it came to maybe doing an egg hunt for him until I  saw a great idea online. Obviously I didn't want to fill the eggs with sugary sweets or money (yet) for my one year old.  I want to give him something he can really enjoy when he opens the egg. So here's what I found and what we're filling Noah's Easter eggs with.

1.) Hot Wheels , Perfect! He loves these things! Granted not all of them fit in these size eggs but most do!

2.) Baby Goldfish Crackers

3.) Bunny marshmallows, sweet but not candy and very soft on the teeth!

Besides that, we put the Hot Wheels that didn't fit in the eggs, in his basket. In there we got him a fluffy lamb and a cute drinking cup with a straw.

I can't wait for this weekend and to do Noah's egg hunt! It's going to be a good fun filled weekend!

ColdPlay, Night Out & Shannanigans! Plus Update

Last weekend I was spoiled rotten by my sister in law! She invited me to go with her and her to friends to see Coldplay! Coldplay! When in a million years would I ever be able to see them?! Never! I mean, sure I could always get tickets to one of their concerts but that would be expensive for sure! She got us all in to their "secret show" and for free may I add! A free secret show where they played songs from they're brand new cd coming out in MAY! We got to Sony Pictures in Culver City, and waited for about an hour to get in. It was a smaller crowd maybe 200-300 people and the stage was super tiny and in the center of the room. I swear I could see the sweat beads on his forehead we were pretty close! They put on a very good light show and I love how instrumental all the musicians are. His voice was right on point too! I was so so so happy that after they played their new album, he went back on stage and played 3 of his older songs! Fix You, Paradise and Viva La Vida! Man me and my sister were jumping up and down! It was so fun!
At the end of the concert, we waited to exit and to our surprise, security handed everyone an envelope with a card and two pins signed by the band! How amazing is that?! Ugh it was so much fun!
Afterwards, we were all starving, so we went out to Downtown LA, maybe not such a great idea at that time of night but eh, we're young and dumb right?! hahaha
Amber, my sister in law, took us to Cole's, a super cool vintage bar and restaurant that even has a speak easy in the back! Totally my setting! I had never really been out and to go to a place like this really made my night!
We had to wait to be seated so we hit the bar for a little while, and really, we only ordered one moscow mule for each person but a stranger bought us all a shot and well yea. hahahaha. If you know me, you know I really don't drink, wine with dinner here and there maybe, but never shots of anything! So one drink + one shot = "what did I just say?!" for me. =)

fancy copper mugs

We finally got to sit down and eat. I loved how old fashioned everything was! Even their menus were old fashioned!

It was really a fun night out! The following day, Sunday, our family went to the Spring Fling Festival in town . They had a petting zoo, horses, BBQ, a bounce house and fun activities for kids. Noah Loved it!

Family Selfie!

He's obsessed with ANYTHING that has wheels or balls.
During the week, nothing crazy happened, just ran errands like getting an oil change on my PT Loser, grocery shopping, going to parks, library blah blah blah the usual weekly routine. But I did take pics so I'll go ahead and share them. =)

I love this pic! He kept whining after he ate, and we were still eating breakfast, so I sat him on my lap while I ate and he fell asleep! It was so funny! Sleeping while sitting.

Well that's attractive! ;)
While my car got it's much needed grooming.
Chaos in his room.
He understand a lot now, and says words like : Fish (shh shh) Ball (bAaaaal) , Car (ka) , Clock (CLaAw), Mom (maam) Dad ( dAaaaDi!) and ow (oOooww). It's the cutest thing ever! He's only a year and two months old and he does this. We ask him to show guests his fish and he'll walk to his room whispering "shhh Shhh shh" until he get's to his fishbowl and points! I love it! I also ask him to go get me a book to read to him and he goes to his bookcase and picks out his favorite Peekaboo book! ~~~ MindBlown~~~ !

I think he's so advanced because we are constantly talking to him, and we involve him in everything we do. Since he was itty bitty, he's been my therapist, I talk and he listens. While I drive I talk to him, while I cook I'll pick him up and show what I'm doing and even involve him with chores. He loves loves loves to sweep (yes he actually does it) and Loves to wipe the table, windows and floor down!

Actually thinking about getting him his own cleaning set! ;)

We still nurse, 14 months of nursing is difficult, not easy at all. It definitely takes a toll but it's what works for us. It's a lot less than before, only to get him to sleep. He takes a bottle for the most part but we have our "fussy days" where being on the boob is the only place he wants to be. And that's okay. Hey, it's different for everyone.

Now, not everything is super fine and dandy with how Noah has been acting lately. He's biting like a puppy (but super hard) and he's biting me a lot. I have bruises all over my arms, and it's not that I let it happen. We discipline, he cries and throws a tantrum but he'll do it again later. He's also been very rough with me, he swings his head all over , just playing and being silly, but he always ends up bumping me in the face with his big ol' toddler head. Last week, I was trying to get a workout in, and he kept climbing on my and kept dropping his head on my chest, well I ended moving and he hit my bottom lip super hard and busted it! Not fun! It's hard to not lose my temper but I try not to over react when it is an accident like that.

Anyways, I'll do a real update soon, just wanted to share how our little guy is advancing. =)

At The Park

I've been taking Noah to parks since he was about 5 months old. He absolutely loves being outside, the wind hitting his face while he swings, and now that he's a big boy, he enjoys climbing on anything and everything and even giggles when he falls! Yesterday was exciting because he went up on the jungle gym all on his own and than even went down the slide without me right there! I was a good ten feet away taking pictures. He sat at the top, whined a little and than let go, grabbed onto the side of the slide and went down on his belly! It was the funniest thing ever! hahaha!

It's funny how the first few months of Noah's life, we were so, extremely careful about germs and making sure everyone washed their hands before holding him. In fact, we were so cautious, I didn't announce being at the hospital in labor for that reason. A lot of our family would complain about us asking them to wash up and use sanitizer before holding him, which is astonishing to me! It's not that hard to be clean! I'm glad we were that careful tho, and would wipe down every table and high chair at restaurants with clorox wipes, because he has only been sick with a cold twice. Now, his immune system is a lot stronger, we don't have to worry as much but I do always clean him up when he gets dirty.  Yesterday while at the park, he was eating a banana, and he would drop it on the grass, and I found myself just scraping off the dirt and giving it back to him. Crazy, I wouldn't have ever thought I could do that . Hahaa. He enjoyed that thing!

Silly boy. I had cut his hair for the 3rd time! I cut it on Monday, decided to give him a little side swept hair style. I think he looks handsome! =) And he's less sweaty now.
Once David got home, I made dinner Creamy White Chicken Chili . I didn't use the crockpot, just stovetop on high. It turned out so good! It's David's new favorite!

After dinner, we went to check out the food truck Wednesday. Sounds funny to say since we had already had dinner but we wanted something fun to do with a fun atmosphere. I've never had anything from a food truck so it was pretty exciting! We found Sugar Babies which is a cupcake truck, so we tried a couple of their minis! Yum!

It was fun! They had live music, a lot of kids running around, and it was at the Channel Islands Harbor so it was nice to walk by the water and look at the boats. I love that we are so close to everything now! I really missed living in a beach town!
Today, my best friend Lupe and her baby are coming over and we'll probably walk to the park. I have so much to catch up on, Next post will be about David's birthday! =)
