At my Dad's Part 2

So last I left off, we were going to Solvang for the day. It was such a good time! So glad my dad took the day off of work to spend it with us! =) We walked around the cute dutch town and took lots of pictures. Noah was so interested in everything he saw! He did so well!

Noah walked so much! Well more like ran everywhere! It was fun! I love that my dad will chase after him and play with him and is so involved with all that he does. =)

It was the perfect day to be a tourist in Solvang =)
On Thursday we went to the San Luis Obispo Farmer's market in Downtown. They go all out there! I love a fun evening Farmer's Market, it seems to go so well in the summer time! On Friday we drove to Avila Beach to enjoy that Farmer's Market which is right on the beach and they have live music, people dancing crazy and lots of little shops. I love people watching!

Noah found two two year old twin boys and they all started talking to one another. Watch the video and see how amazed they are at the fire truck! =) hahaha

My Step sister and I

Bubbles!

This boy loves some corn! =)

She insisted on a selfie.. ay

crazy dancing under the full moon

AVILA BEACH

On Saturday, my dad made us breakfast and us girls and Noah went to a few yard sales to see what we could find. Boy did I score some good stuff! (I will post on that later!) We had fun. We came back home, I packed up and my dad and step mom drove Noah and I home. We stopped in SB for some italian food and kept on driving.

I'm So happy to be back home with my hubby! 1 week away from him was more than enough! I have no idea how military wives do it, I know I'm a big baby when I don't get to see my boy in a long time. Saturday night David and I watched A Haunted House the spoof on Netflix and enjoyed some wine while Noah slept. That movie was surprisingly hilarious!
On Sunday we went to church and hung out with his mom and family. He always has some type of "manly duty" to do at their house, this time it was digging a big hole and planting the potted lime tree they had in it. Whatever makes him happy. ha
It's been a great week! I can't wait to see what new adventures this week will bring!

Weekend Fun!

This weekend was awesome! On Valentine's day David had to work so we got to celebrate on Friday. I was woken up to pretty pink and white flowers from David, along with Dove chocolates and my favorite bottle of wine. =) For dinner, we went to BJ's Restaurant where I got to finally enjoy a yummy margarita! I only had one and man you bet that's all I needed lol.
Noah was awesome, he slept in his carseat while we enjoyed our food and then woke up when we were all done.
I tell David to smile and this is what I get... ay...
I got my usual BBQ salad
And David got this huge BBQ pulled pork sandwich! Dang boy!
To top it all off we got a Pizookie for desert! YUM!!!

Afterwards, we walked around the town center with Noah, but then he got fussy so we headed home at around 8pm.

On Saturday I met up with my mom and we headed to Santa Barbara to take Noah to see his great Grandma! Oh she loved being able to hold him close and love on him! It was a good time!

Yesterday we finally got to take Noah to church for the first time ( I totally forgot to take some pics) but my gosh was he the talk of the town! Such a lady magnet! He did good during service but we did take him to the parent room so that he could eat and burp comfortably. The sermon was absolutely perfect for our first Sunday back with our new baby. It was about Raising Your Children Under God. My favorite verse from it was:

" Train children how to live right, and when they are old, they will not change." Proverbs 22:6

The key points were on Mentoring them:
  1. Mentally - "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction." Proverbs 1:7
  2. Physically- "Carefully walk a straight path, and all your ways will be secure. Do not lean to the right or to the left. Walk away from evil." Proverbs 4:26-27
  3. Spiritually- "All have sinned and are not good enough for God's glory, and all need to be made right with God by his grace, which is a free gift. They need to be made free from sin through Jesus Christ." Romans 3:23-24
  4. "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength." the second command is this: "Love your neighbor as you love yourself." There are no commands more important than these. " Mark 12:30-31
After Church we went to visit my sister in law and her husband, man they loved seeing Noah! I think Noah got just a bit too comfortable because he ended up peeing on his uncle's pants!
We got home just in time to go for a nice little walk while the sun was going down. That easily put Noah to sleep for a few hours.

While he slept, I took advantage and cooked a healthy dinner.
Stuffed Bellpeppers. Here's what I stuffed them with:

-Boiled, shredded chircken
-Sliced Carrot
-Cilantro
-White rice
-Green Onions
-Chopped Bellpeppers (the tops of the bellpeppers I stuffed)

I sauteed the ingredients and then set the oven to 400 degrees. Stuffed the bellpeppers with the ingredients and topped them off with mozzerella cheese. Baked for 15 min and wala! Delish!

Well that's my weekend, Today Noah and I are enjoying the day at my mom's house. How was your weekend?

Weekend Sumup & Father's Day!

Father's day weekend was such a good time! To begin with, David and I both had a 4 day weekend ahead that began on Friday morning when he got home from work. We took our time getting ready and left for San Luis Obispo (roughly about  2 1/2 hours away North) to my dad's. My step sister Jamie was graduating from High School that day! So I got there early to help her with her makeup! I can't believe she's all grown up and out of high school! Time flies!

Check out that amazing outfit! Good Job Girl!

From there, we went out to chili's to celebrate! It was a big group we were with since there were 3 graduates from the same school and from my dad's church. It was awesome! I got to see a lot of friends I hadn't seen in a while and EVERYONE had their hands on my poofy baby bump. ha
I'm so excited to see what's next for my little sister. She's a smart beautiful girl and I can't wait to see her graduating from college!
On Saturday we celebrated Father's day since we would be out of town for Sunday. So David and I made my dad and the family breakfast and some delish coffee.
My Dad added the heart. ;) *people, one cup of coffee for prenant women is okay. Not Over doing things is the trick.*
From there we all got ready and headed to Cambria, the cutest little town north of San Luis. It's also the place where Hearst  Castle is, if you haven't been there, its totally the place to visit!
We walked around the town and went in the cutest little shops. There were so many beautiful flowers everywhere too!
I had my dad take this sweet picture of us in this historical garden. I love how this looks. After walking my dad treated us to lunch. I forgot the name of the place but its the original FireStone bar and Grill. I got this:
A delish Veggie Avocado sandwich! Love! and we shared a basked of fries and onion rings. yum!
I ate half and was Stuffed! It's funny with this pregnancy I hardly eat and hardly have an appetite but I am showing. ha. Interesting. So when I finished eating I went to the restroom and when I came out I was walking back to the table "la la la la" ... and when I looked up there was a lady cleaning the table and no one was there... I was like um what?! I started walking towards the door laughing to my self but then I noticed the car wasn't even there! They totally ditched me! I looked around a couple times and Finally heard my dad giggling and I caught him hiding behind a bush! hahahaha Jerks Pranked me! hahaha And they even took pictures of me! I almost peed myself! hahaha
Everyone's gone!

Dad!!!!
hahaha It was great! I can't believe they took the time to scurry away and hide and even move the car! hahaa
From there we went to the beautiful beach and enjoyed the view. We found some furry friendly friends and fed them bread. I couldn't stop screaming when the squirrels would get so close! they were climbing all over David! And jamie jumped on top of the car! hahaha
My pensive dad.
The Cheesecake I had made was very tasty! It didn't that great but once I tried it I was proud! =) We left my dad's in the evening and then drove to David's mom's to pick up Cosby. He was so excited to see us! =) We then drove home and caught up on some sleep! On Sunday we drove to Lancaster to David's Dad's house and we ate at Shakey's Pizza with his parents and sister and their baby. It was fun! Then we went over to David's uncle's house and relaxed in their awesome pool!
From Right to Left Ready, Set , GO!

It was so much fun! We left Lancaster on Monday. What a great weekend it was! I can't wait for next year to be celebrating Father's Day with David as a Daddy!
XOXO,
-Susie

Weekend Sum Up!

Guess where we went this past weekend??? Palm Springs! Let's see how can I explain this relation.... David's step-mom's mom ... It was her birthday and they were throwing a party for her on Saturday. We drove close to 3 hours to get to her place but when we did, Man was it pretty! The mountains were covered in snow and the sun was out and shining ! It was a very pretty day for a party!
Now most people don't know that David works 24 hour shifts and for him to have a day off like Saturday, he has to work 48 hours straight! So for this occasion he worked 48 hours and came home that Saturday morning, showered, ate got ready and we took off! Poor guy. He was a good sport tho and had a great time. There were a lot of people there when we got there. Most were David's step-grandmother's family and friends. As a surprise his cousin showed up (they're super tight them two!) and it was so cute to see the bromance going on between them. hahaha
McDaniels' Kisses

His uncle was also there with a baby niece and David's Grandma also showed up! It was a sweet reunion!
Only thing I didn't agree too much about that day were my choice of pants.....ughhhhhh you know when there's a big day and of course you pick out something nice to look good for that day... well I had gone to the store to get a simple cute little outfit and picked out a colorful striped top and white jeans... the white jeans were about 3-4 sizes too big but when I tried them on they felt loose comfortable and thought eh I can pull it off ( I really wanted white jeans) ... um NO. Bad choice. The whole car ride to palm springs I kept tugging and pulling and Not liking how they were feeling. All photos of me that day showing my pants look horrid. Talk about saggy crotch and butt and make my hips look wider than ever! Ewwwww... Moral of the story... White pants are cool but make sure they fit your body well ... Susie you dumb girl!
GROSS
I got them at TJ Maxx so I returned those nasty pants and got Cosby a nice pillow instead. So now memories of that day I'm stuck with looking big and frumpy next to all the family.. and we did take family photos so that's not going to be pretty..
I tried to sit as much as possible to avoid the saggy crotch. hahaha

my constipated husband and his lovely Grandma.
We spent a lot of much needed time with the baby nephews. They were so cute! Mikey we don't get to see too much so it was nice! He's such a handsome little guy and so sweet! When people were leaving he'd run to the door and stare out the window and get sad. It was so sweet.
He wants one of these. ha They look good on him... ;)))

It was a great way to spend a Saturday. Sunday we stayed in and got chores done and drove around . We went to the local Goodwill and we lucked out because it was Half Off Day! I got some unique stuff. I have a photoshoot on Saturday and I'm photographing a girl so I've been keeping an eye out for props. I found the perfect vintage chair for this shoot.
And It was only $7.00!!!! Score!

I know what you're thinking ... looks old and raggady but this is why I did a mock shoot...
Of course it's going to be even better with the few more props we have and the model. But it's a sneak peak. I cannot wait for Saturday!
I also found some adorable leopard flats from Kitson and they were only a dollar and change!
It was a good thrifting day! My mom get weirded out that I announce things I get from the thrift stores.. To be honest with you, I don't find any reason to be ashamed of saving a lot of money on clothes. I'm a newlywed and we are paying and have paid for everything ourselves so it's not like I'm going to be shopping at Macy's for jeans and tops when I can pay less than $3 for those things. I also love finding thrift store items so NO I'm not ashamed. ;-)
Afterwards we went for a drive to a nearby town Ojai. Passed this cute little book store. Fact: it's in that movie Easy A with Emma Stone.

Besides that, that's all we did this past weekend. Now onto randoms.
Nails. I went back to Dennis in Simi Valley and he does such a lovely job. Thank you Dennis. =)
This little nugget has been super cuddly lately and I'm loving it! What I'm not loving is the fact that he's barking a lot lately too! He's gotten super protective this past week and if there's a stranger that goes in the apartment parking lot he goes crazy! I'm glad his barks aren't yappy. He's got a manly bark. ha. I love my little baby. He's also been scratching at the door whenever his neighbor pups go outside he wants to go out too and he'll do a yawn with a weird growl thing. It's funny to see him do it.

Last week was so nice, we had cold rainy weather and I loved it. Now it's all warm in the 80's .
These are from my instagram. Follow me! @Snooz3

Now onto the weightloss... I've been running/walking and eating a lot better. Haven't gone out this week and trying to keep it that way. Drinking lots of water. I'm noticing a difference and it felt good to go over to my mom's last night and my step dad asked if I was losing weight. Loved hearing that question.
Tightening it up for summer! whoo!
Here's some of what I've been eating lately.
Cosby's on a carrot diet . ;) at my mom's.
That's pretty much it for now. I'm starting up a website for my photography so i'll be sharing that soon! I have photoshoots coming up from here to June and cannot wait!
McDaniels' family!
