ThanksGiving 2015

It's almost a week since Thanksgiving and now unto the Christmas Spirit! I love this time of year and now that we have a new baby and a almost three year old I'm all the more excited to share this holiday with them and make our family traditions very special!

This year for thanksgiving, we went to Lancaster to be with my mother in law and sister in law and family.( David's Dad worked) We had such a good time! The kids had a blast playing together, and the adults enjoyed talking and eating and joking around. It couldn't have been more perfect!

Christmas Decor

This year I was so excited to decorate for Christmas that I actually began decorating the week before Thanksgiving! (excited much?!) We have our own 2 bedroom apt with a living room and dining area and after being blessed with living with my in-laws for 6 and a half months, it's exciting to decorate our little space again.
Surprisingly, we didn't spend much on decorations. We already had most of it and the few things we got (burlap ribbon from Michael's, $3 mini trees from Target) we actually also got a lot of free things from Free yard sales~ if you go to yard sales late, people usually put up free signs, and that's how we got Christmas lights and ornaments this year. =)

I'm happy with how cozy feeling our place is right now. Love the colors and smells. Oh and the tree is fake, but I did get it on black Friday, 1st 99 customers at the .99 cent store got a 6ft prelit tree for only .99 cents! Not bad huh?

Happy Thanksgiving's Eve everyone! I am so excited for tomorrow! I just love the warmth of the holidays! What does everyone have planned for tomorrow ?! I know I'm waking up as soon as I hear Noah cry and I'll be cooking that bird from then on! I am helping with the cooking, David and I are completely in charge of making the turkey and I'll be doing all the recipes I did for last year's Thanksgiving when it was just David and I.

Tomorrow it'll be David and I, Holly and Britt (David's parents) and Amber,Brandon and Mason ( David's sister's family) and Brandon's father and guest. I can't wait!

After dinner, David, the baby and I are off to my dad's (4 hours North) to enjoy the weekend with them. On Sunday we have a wedding to go to so we'll leave early, probably stop at my mom's to get ready and off to party we go! Phew! Busy Busy and I absolutely love it!

I'm Thankful for:

A loving and forgiving father, my Lord Savior. For always guiding me and my family and keeping us under his wings.

For my hardworking sweet husband. Even though we may butt heads at times, we always get through it because we both know that life without one another is simply not do able. I love you baby, you're my rock.

For my sweet baby boy, for when you wake me in the early morning hours, I'm thankful for it, because I take time to remember to just slow down, and enjoy your beauty and innocence. To just hold you in my arms, kiss you and feel complete. I love you so much mi amor, you are my everything, my all.

For My parents for opening up their house to our family. We have been blessed by you to be able to live under your roof and get to know you on a deeper level.

I have so much more I am thankful for but I don't want to bore you all. ;) I'm thankful for my readers, because even though I write just thinking of this blog as a journal, I appreciate that you take the time to read about our lives and hopefully get a little giggle out of our silliness from time to time. I promise to post more ;)

 

Farewell 2012, Hello New Year!

It's New Year's Eve! 2012 was a great year that brought on so many new things for my little family! It was a good year and I just can't believe it's already come to an end! We've come such a long ways this year, we did so much and I'm going back and showing you all what our 2012 year looked like! Let's go!

1.) We moved out of our little yellow cube (our first studio apartment we lived in together) and into a bigger 1 bedroom apartment that we live in now.

Yay for 2012!!!! There are 10 hours left of 2012, So I think it's safe to say that Noah's arrival won't be in this year's highlight. I wish he were but it's ok, I'll wait.
Although I Loved this year and we had such a great time, I would like to post about David's sweet grandfather who passed this year. Papa Wayne, I met you once and I'm glad I did because from all that David's every told me about you, you were one sweet and special man. I know you are in a better place and I'm glad to know you went to be with the Lord. We Love you, David Loves you so much and so does the family, and we will see you someday in Heaven.

So Happy New Years to you all! I am so excited for what's coming! I'm excited for all the new adventures we are going to have as new parents! I hope you all enjoy tonight to the fullest and keep it safe! God bless!

Thanksgiving 2012!

Happy belated thanksgiving !!! Boy has it been a good one! It started early and ended perfectly! So since David had to work yesterday and today, we celebrated on Wednesday and began cooking the turkey at 6am! I found a great recipe on Pinterest for the turkey , and not only did it taste amazing but it was even healthy!!! (3 thumbs up!!) for side dishes I made mashed potatoes, a green bean casserole , deviled eggs, a sweet stuffing I threw together with a stove top boxed stuffing mix and added apples, craisins, carrots , celery and onions. I also made a tasty cranberry sauce ! I was proud of all that cooking and it sure paid off! We gave some to our neighbors and they both said ( no lie) that its the best Thanksgiving meal they've ever had! Yay!!! Chef Susie made her debut!
Later that day we had our prenatal appointment and that also went great! They did a quick ultrasound because the doctor wasn't able to feel where his head was and turns out he's already engaged and ready to go! He's so low that she couldn't feel him! I'm excited!!! He's bound to make his arrival very soon!
For Thanksgiving day, I went on over to my mom's and my grandma was also there! We cooked, I made the cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie! Yum! And afterwards I brought my grandma back to my place to stay the night ! Cosby had an amazing day playing with Bluebell so by the time we got home he was done for the day!

Now today, has been just as good! My grandma and I walked on over to the local Goodwill for blackfriday discount (50% off everything)!!! Man I loaded up on cute clothes and a cute pair of ankle boots! Now ill be honest, I ended up buying shirts that will fit after pregnancy, I couldn't help not getting them, too cute , and it's not like ill be preggers forever! Ha I'm determined to get fit soon!
My mom picked my grandma up and they were off for the day. Than later my sweet aunt and cousin came to visit and brought a cute box full of clothes for Noah! Such cute things! :-)

I'm extremely thankful for the family I have. I love them so much and love how caring they are! I love having my grandma around and I'm so thankful she's been so involved in my life since the day I was born! She raised my brother and I and I'm very thankful for her.
I'm thankful for my loving husband and all the hardwork he's put into this month in particular. He's so devoted to his work and fire academy but still makes the effort to make time for me. I love you DJ.

I'm extremely thankful to God for always blessing us and for all the amazing things he teaches us daily. I know God will bless Noah's life just as much and more. Love you God, you're love is like no other. <3

I'm super thankful for the Garcia family and my sista from another mista ( and momma) Ana B, you've all been a part of my family for over ten years now . Thank you for supporting me in all I've done and for really being here for me and David. Thank you for giving us an amazing start to being parents by providing us with necessities for our baby Noah! Love you guys so much!

I'm thankful for a million things but if I wrote it all down you'd probably be reading this for years!
Tomorrow is going to be a great day! My best friends babyshower is tomorrow ( I know I need to blog about mine,I still haven't gotten a laptop charger to be able to upload my dslr pix) . I can't wait ! I hope you're all able to breathe after feastig on turkey!!! Have a great weekend everyone!!!
